International Sacred Music Festival in Bogotà, Colombia

24th September 2020

For the ninth consecutive year the International Sacred Music Festival in Bogotá (Festival Internacional de Música Sacra de Bogotá), unique in the South American continent, is held over four weeks in emblematic stages of the city as well as unconventional spaces with local, national and foreign artists: soloists, choirs, ensembles and orchestras. Taking into account the current health crisis, the 2020 edition will be held virtually and on television. Internationally acclaimed soprano and Opera for Peace Advisor Sumi Jo will be featured alongside two Opera for Peace Emerging Artists: baritone Chuma Sijeqa (South Africa) and mezzo-soprano Victoria Karkacheva (Russia). Opera for Peace broadcasts on Canal Capital Colombia: Sep 25 / Oct 4 in preparation for the 10th Anniversary live concert: September 2021. (festivalmusicasacra.com)
